Author’s Note: This is the final self-check skill that I am
attempting to master. I am going to try
to master the skill of creating a sample conclusion for a paper. I am going to use the thesis statements that
I wrote in the thesis statement self-check skill. I am also going to write down what my three
body paragraphs are about before writing about the conclusion. My goal is to master this skill.
Topic: Why School
should Start Later
Thesis Statement: In order to have success and have students
focused during the day, school should start later.
Topic for Body Paragraph 1:
What are some of the reasons why school should start later
Topic for Body Paragraph 2: Studies that Have Been Done
Topic for Body Paragraph 3:
Results of the Studies
Conclusion: The
studies have shown, and the results have come in. But why have school
administrators not acted yet? The younger kids don’t need as much sleep as a
teenagers, yet they make the teenagers go to school earlier during the
day. Also, the focus levels have improved
and the grades of the students have improved too. So it is time for the school
administrators to act to improve the overall grades so they can go in a
positive direction for middle school and high school students.
Topic: Why we should
Protect our National Parks
Thesis Statement: Preserving the
National Parks is something that should continue, because many animals live in
the parks and they contain beauty that can be found nowhere else in the
country.
Topic for Body Paragraph 1: History of the National Parks
Topic for Body Paragraph 2: Animals that live in the Parks
Topic for Body Paragraph 3: The Popularity of the parks and
Some of the Top Attractions
Conclusion: The
National Parks make up some of the best beauty in the world. Millions of people come to visit these parks
every year for the joy of seeing something different. Many unique animals live only in specific
national parks, so we would need to protect their homes too. In order to protect
these parks, the government should continue to invest money in protecting all
the National Parks that our country has so they can be enjoyed for generations
to come. It was Theodore Roosevelt’s
idea in 1906 to preserve areas of land to protect what is inside to people
could see, and today that idea worked out perfectly.
